Outdoor Activities in the Rockies

The outdoor enthusiast can enjoy a broad range of activities within just a few minutes drive from our front door. Biking, hiking, fishing, camping - the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains are a natural playground. And don’t worry if you have to leave your bikes and tents at home; several shops in the area will be glad to outfit you with whatever you need to experience everything the Front Range has to offer.

The river hounds in your group will appreciate the fact we’re so close to an abundance of rafting, kayaking, and fishing opportunities. Experience the thrill of riding the waves in a raft over Class IV rapids, bring or rent a kayak and “surf” Colorado in one of the local favorite kayaking runs, or grab your rod and some flies and get ready to cast over some of the most renowned trout water in the west.

And, of course, don’t forget what Colorado’s most famous for when it comes to the outdoors: skiing and snowboarding. Springtime in the Rockies is a sight to behold, but come November each year it truly turns into a Winter Wonderland. Golden is in an ideal location to sample several different world-class ski resorts. How many places can you say that about?

The Table Mountain Inn welcomes you to experience the mountains and all they have to offer. Come to Colorado and experience the outdoors the Rocky Mountain way.
